Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW is seeking a Chemical Dependency Counselor (CADC I or II) to join a multidisciplinary team delivering low-barrier, culturally sensitive substance use disorder treatment. You will work with diverse populations in the Washington and Multnomah County region to help clients access behavioral health services and overcome barriers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Alcohol and Drug counselor CADC I or CADC II (or NCAC I/II) required.
• Differential pay offered for proficiency and ability to provide services in a language other than English.

Responsibilities

• Provide low-barrier, culturally sensitive SUD treatment services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct screenings and assessments per ASAM and DSM-5TR guidelines to inform treatment plans.
• Formulate individualized, goal-focused treatment plans; facilitate group therapy, individual counseling, and referrals.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely to reflect client progress and as per policies, regulations and payor standards.
• Collaborate within a diverse team to promote Health, Justice and Hope for clients and communities.
• Navigate a network of partners while maintaining HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.
• Maintain clinical certifications/licenses and stay updated on counseling theories and modalities.
• Manage an effective caseload while meeting utilization goals.
