Job summary

Allwell Behavioral Health Services seeks a dedicated professional to educate and prevent substance use, working with individuals, families, and community stakeholders. The role includes delivering prevention activities, and coordinating direct treatment services such as individual, group and SUD case management in multiple facilities and community settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required with CDCA PRE; willing to obtain OCPS certification.
• LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC licensure required.
• Valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, and current certifications.

Responsibilities

• Educate and prevent regarding addiction, interventions, and recovery resources for all ages.
• Deliver prevention activities to raise awareness and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Provide direct treatment services (individual, group, IOP, SUD case management) in various settings.

Job description

• Employee Type Non-Exempt

Responsible for providing education and prevention to individuals of all ages, their families and other community stakeholders regarding the disease of addiction, interventions, and resources available to aid in recovery. Prevention Activities may include, but are not limited to: increase awareness about chemical dependency and related issues; increase protective factors and decrease risk factors; promote safe & healthy lifestyles; field trips to expose youth to new, exciting and challenging culturally diverse activities to increase self-esteem, social skills and reduce onset of substance use; provide knowledge, understanding and skills needed to make intelligence, healthy choices about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Direct treatment services include individual, group, IOP, SUD case management services in various facilities and group education activities in schools, jails, agencies, and community events.

Requirements

• Associate degree, minimum of CDCA PRE and willing to obtain OCPS certification from the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board, if not currently held with minimum of one year experience.
• LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC Licensure
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, and maintain all certifications.
• Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate good judgment skills and utilize basic problem solving skills.
• Able to resolve crisis situations in the most clinically effective manner.
