Zusammenfassung

DuBois Chemicals Canada is seeking a detail-oriented forklift operator to blend and package products, manage raw materials, and maintain accurate records in a busy plant.

You will follow PPE and SDS procedures, assist with shipping/receiving, and help ensure safety and housekeeping across the facility. Start time 5:00 AM, full-time with occasional overtime, pay range $26.00-30.00/hr.

Aufgaben

• Process formulas and blend products for shipment.
• Decant chemicals into containers per procedures.
• Handle all shipping and receiving duties.
• Quarantine suspect chemical material and report to the Operations Manager.
• Comply with PPE requirements and SDS-based safety practices.
• Follow safety training requirements and regulatory procedures.
• Handle and transport chemical materials per regulations.
• Clean and store safety equipment for reuse.
• Maintain safety compliance within the plant.
• Report issues to the Operations Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Ensure inventory and raw materials are adequate in the plant.
• Maintain general housekeeping across the plant and surrounding areas.
• Ensure supplies are distributed as needed.
• Store supplies and inform purchasing when reordering is needed.
• Provide backup support to plant staff as needed.
• Attend work regularly and punctually.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position creates and packages products of various kinds. Safety and Quality concerns are paramount. Chemicals blenders handle raw material, sample batches, record data / paperwork, and forklift. Will be cross trained on other tasks & functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• - Responsible for processing formulas and blending products for shipment
• - Responsible for decanting chemical into containers as specified in related procedures
• - Responsible for all shipping and receiving duties
• - Quarantine suspects chemical material and report to Operations Manager
• - Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
• - Follow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
• - Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials
• - Clean and store safety equipment for re-use
• - Comply with all safety requirements within the company
• - Report process and/or safety equipment issues to Operations Manager
• - Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
• - Report to Operations Manager to ensure adequate inventory and raw materials in the plant
• - Responsible for housekeeping through the plant and facility
• - Ensure supplies are distributed as required throughout the facility
• - Neatly store supplies, empty containers and inform purchasing when levels require re-ordering
• - General housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
• - Regular and sustained attendance
• - Provide back up support to all plant staff when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• - Previous experience in a manufacturing facility
• - Previous experience operating a forklift
• - Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleagues
• - Strong communication skills and time management

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• - High School Diploma or GED

OTHER INFORMATION:

• - Full-Time (40 Hours a week) with occasional overtime

This position works in an enclosed building that is subject to variances in temperatures, extreme heat in summer, and colder temperatures in winter. This position frequently lifts, pushes, pulls or carries up to 50 pounds of product. This position can work various hours.
