Job summary

DuBois Chemicals, Inc in Bedford Park, IL is hiring for a manufacturing role focused on blending and packaging chemicals. You will operate forklifts, process formulas, decant into containers, and handle shipping/receiving with strict adherence to PPE, SDS, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, performing routine maintenance, managingInventory and raw materials, and supporting plant staff with housekeeping and timely attendance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing formulas and blending products for shipment
• Responsible for decanting chemical into containers as specified in related procedures
• Responsible for all shipping and receiving duties
• Quarantine suspects chemical material and report to Operations Manager
• Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
• Follow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
• Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials
• Clean and store safety equipment for re-use
• Comply with all safety requirements within the company
• Report process and/or safety equipment issues to Operations Manager
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
• Report to Operations Manager to ensure adequate inventory and raw materials in the plant
• Responsible for housekeeping through the plant and facility
• Ensure supplies are distributed as required throughout the facility
• Neatly store supplies, empty containers and inform purchasing when levels require re-ordering
• General housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
• Regular and sustained attendance
• Provide back up support to all plant staff when needed

This position creates and packages products of various kinds. Safety and Quality concerns are paramount. Chemicals blenders handle raw material, sample batches, record data / paperwork, and forklift operations. Will be cross trained on other tasks & functions.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Full-Time (40 Hours a week) with occasional overtime Benefits: Health Insurance, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K Match Plan Start Time: 5:00 AM Pay Range: $26.00 - 30.00/HR This position works in an enclosed building that is subject to variances in temperatures, extreme heat in summer, and colder temperatures in winter. This position frequently lifts, pushes, pulls or carries up to 50 pounds of product. This position can work various hours.
