Position Overview

The Chemical Technician is responsible for the safe and effective application of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers across commercial landscaping sites. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The Chemical Technician will work closely with management and team members to maintain the health and appearance of our clients' landscapes while ensuring environmental and worker safety.

Job Duties

  • Chemical Application: Safely and accurately apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers according to prescribed guidelines and schedules.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow all EPA, OSHA, and Texas Department of Agriculture regulations. Maintain accurate service records and ensure all licenses are up to date.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Properly calibrate and maintain spray equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Site Inspections: Assess landscaping sites to identify potential pest, weed, or disease issues and recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Safety & Training: Follow strict safety protocols, wear required PPE, and participate in company training programs.
  • Inventory & Storage: Maintain proper storage of chemicals, monitor inventory levels, and order supplies as needed.
  • Client & Team Communication: Coordinate with managers and crew members to schedule applications and address concerns regarding chemical treatments.


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in the landscaping industry.
  • Valid Texas Department of Agriculture License required.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with no accidents in the previous 5 years.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and excellent communication skills.
