Position Overview

The Chemical Technician is responsible for applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemical treatments to ensure optimal plant health for turf and ornamental landscapes. This role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and consistent quality control in the field. The technician will perform various cultural practices to enhance landscape appearance and health.

Job Duties

• Apply chemical treatments including fertilizers and pesticides accurately and safely.
• Conduct field quality control inspections to ensure high standards are consistently met.
• Assist with other cultural landscape tasks such as aerification, seeding, and sand topdressing.
• Manage daily schedule efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain meticulous records of chemical usage, applications, and inventory.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Valid TDA Applicator License preferred.
• Previous experience with chemical or spray applications preferred
• Ability to work independently, efficiently prioritizing tasks.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, squatting, and exposure to outdoor elements.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
