Job description

Merit Service Solutions is seeking a Chemical Application Tech for our Marlton, NJ branch. This role involves performing high-quality work, adhering to company policies and procedures, and maintaining safety standards. The Chemical Application Tech reports directly to the Production Managers and indirectly to the Account Managers to ensure client expectations are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Chemical Applicator Tech's duties extend beyond service delivery to include ensuring crew and vehicle safety. Responsibilities include loading and securing equipment, traveling to customer sites, performing services, and returning to the next location. All crew members contribute to safe vehicle operations, whether driving or loading. Daily duties typically include:

Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• At least one year of mowing and/or applicator experience with a professional landscaping company.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as part of a team, with minimal supervision to complete routes per company standards.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including long days and weekends, and availability on Saturdays and Sundays when needed.
• Preferred experience in landscaping and safe operation of professional landscape equipment.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push 50 lbs frequently.
• Flexibility to work different hours and days, including weekdays and weekends.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid driver’s license, meeting company driver qualifications, and compliance with DOT regulations for vehicles over 10,001 pounds.
• Current NALP Landscape Industry Maintenance certification is required.

Working Conditions

• Work varies daily and depends on customer demands, performed at different customer sites.
