Job summary

BARNES GROUP in Michigan is seeking a production operator to handle chemical line processes, load baskets, and ensure parts meet specifications.

You will perform required paperwork, maintain safety and quality standards, and use calibrated tools to verify accuracy. Strong attention to instructions and basic math skills are essential for success. Day shift with attendance expectations are required.

Qualifications

• Solid job history with more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
• Willingness and ability to learn and retain new skills.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Compliance with general attendance standards is required.
• Capable of reading and understanding written instructions, procedures, safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to follow safe handling requirements for hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Process parts through chemical line by loading baskets with product and lowering baskets into tanks.
• Use calibrated tools and measuring devices to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Complete required paperwork and checklists.
• Perform work with a high degree of responsibility with an emphasis on safety and quality.
