Chartwells Higher Education is hiring a Chef Manager for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. You will support culinary operations at a high-volume student dining location, supervise a large staff, and help develop daily menu items and garnishments while assisting with ordering and coordination with the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent experience required.
• Culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends including cost controls and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist dining team with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Foster client relationships to align programs with objectives.
• Perform inventory management, ordering and administrative tasks.
