Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking candidates for a 6‑month Chef Manager In‑Training program. You will learn under an experienced Chef Manager, gaining leadership and culinary skills to manage a high‑volume dining service in assisted living/memory care communities.

The program combines hands‑on shadowing, online modules, and regular feedback, with the goal of advancing to Chef Manager roles across Belmont Village locations. We value commitment and adaptability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• 2 years of food service experience preferred (a la carte or banquet).
• Interest in working with older population.
• Experience with food service POS systems.
• Self‑directed learning and mentor support provided during training.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 6‑month Chef Manager in-Training program.
• Shadow and learn under a seasoned Chef Manager Preceptor.
• Develop leadership and technical skills for managing a high‑volume dining service.
• Complete online modules and leadership assessments.
• Upon successful completion, potential promotion to Chef Manager based on need and performance.
