Responsibilities include managing kitchen operations, staff hiring and training, menu development, cost control, and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal culinary training through degree or certificate program.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Must communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work flexible dining program schedule.
• Minimum two years of kitchen managerial experience; five years in volume cooking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food service compliance and kitchen staffing operations.
• Ensure recipe consistency and menu planning for events.
• Drive resident satisfaction through high-quality meals and service.
• Manage food ordering and inventory to control costs.
• Train staff on safety, food handling, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with leadership to align with organizational goals.
• Lead staffing activities including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and delegation.
