Chartwells K12 is hiring a Chef Engagement Specialist to support our K12 dining programs in the Wethersfield, CT school district. You will focus on student engagement, programming schedules, and promoting Mood Boost, Global Eats, Student Choice and other marketing/culinary events.

You will oversee culinary and food service operations for a ~4,000-student district, ensuring high-quality menus, cost controls, and engaging tasting experiences in school cafeterias.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of culinary management experience.
• Hands-on chef experience is required.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, or related food service operations.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides culinary resources and support.
• Assists with food cost control, menu planning, purchasing, and quality guidelines.
• Assists with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
• Manages cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
