Job summary

Deer Valley Resort is hiring a Chef de Cuisine to assist the Royal Street Café’s Executive Chef. You will oversee food production, menu development, and kitchen operations to deliver premier-quality dishes with strong financial oversight.

The role requires extensive kitchen management experience, ServSafe certification, and the ability to lead a high-volume team while controlling costs in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Ten years of kitchen experience in a high-volume operation.
• Five years of experience managing a kitchen with ten or more cooks.
• Strong understanding of kitchen accounting, cost tracking, labor control, ordering, scheduling, and menu engineering.

Responsibilities

• Stay knowledgeable of current food trends and develop new menu items.
• Operate the kitchen and direct kitchen personnel, including Sous Chefs, Cooks, and Stewards.
• Maintain quality, taste, and presentation with consistent portions and cost control.
• Direct purchasing procedures and ensure storeroom management.
• Maintain safe, sanitary working conditions and high standards of dress and hygiene.
