Deer Valley Resort is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to assist the Silver Lake Executive Chef at Royal Street Café. You will lead kitchen operations, overseeing Sous Chefs, Cooks, and Stewards to deliver premier-quality dishes with strong cost controls and guest-focused service.

The role requires extensive kitchen leadership experience, proficiency in budgeting, and a passion for seasonal, diverse cuisine. Competitive pay and ski incentives accompany a dynamic, high-volume environment in Park City.

Qualifications

• Ten years of kitchen experience in a high-quality, high-volume operation
• Five years of experience managing a kitchen operation of ten or more cooks
• Solid understanding of kitchen accounting, cost tracking, labor control, ordering, scheduling, and menu engineering
• Ability to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the kitchen
• Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make decisions under pressure
• Fluency in English
• ServSafe certification from Health Department
• Prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Stay knowledgeable of current food trends and develop new, creative menu items each season
• Direct kitchen personnel, including Sous Chefs, Cooks, and Stewards
• Maintain consistency of product with high quality, taste, and presentation
• Control food costs via forecasting, production, and requisitioning
• Control labor costs and manage payroll, scheduling, and training
• Organize efficient production flow and adequate staffing
