Job summary

Montage Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Chef de Cuisine for Studio Mediterranean to lead culinary operations, develop menus, and mentor a high-performing kitchen team. You will manage inventories, control costs, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

The role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and collaboration with the Executive Chef to deliver creative and on-trend menus while upholding Montages standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of culinary supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Wamiliarity with budgeting, menu costing, and cost-control concepts is a plus.
• Luxury hotel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and order all items for all menus; manage inventory systems.
• Oversee inventory control and loss reduction of china and equipment with Executive Steward.
• Assist in controlling food and labor costs through recipe costing and scheduling.
• Lead production and plating to meet guest expectations.
• Oversee kitchen operations; recruit, hire, train, and supervise sous chefs and cooks.
• Implement cost-control measures and revenue strategies while maintaining service quality.
• Create staffing schedules ensuring appropriate coverage.
• Collaborate on menu development with Executive Chef; drive culinary innovation.
