About the role

The Chef de Cuisine – Curveball Kitchen is an entry-level culinary supervisor responsible for managing the restaurant's culinary operations, including menu planning, inventory, staff training, and ensuring food quality exceeds standards. This hands-on role involves working alongside line cooks and training the kitchen team.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in achieving financial goals
• Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly
• Ensure food presentation and portioning meet standards
• Maintain communication with outlets to ensure quality and consistency
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Promote employee empowerment
• Report unsafe conditions immediately
• Select daily specials fitting local trends
• Train, supervise, develop, and counsel staff according to policies
• Perform cross-training and other duties as assigned
• Oversee purchasing for quality and quantities
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards
• Perform duties of supervised positions when needed
• Train staff on menus, recipes, and standards

What you bring to the role:

• High School diploma required; culinary certifications preferred
• 3+ years in culinary leadership, including 2+ years in a full-service hotel or resort
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Versatile cooking skills and methods
