Lifespark's Prairie Bluffs community in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Cook/Chef to prepare meals for residents in alignment with dietary and safety standards. The position offers hourly pay and a schedule including Sundays and Mondays, with growth opportunities within Lifespark.

Responsibilities include meal preparation per menus and diet plans, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with dietary changes. Strong communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.

Prairie Bluffs, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Chef/Cook to join our growing team.
Prairie Bluffs is conveniently located right off Highway 169 and Pioneer Trail in Eden Prairie. We help seniors Age Magnificently in our gorgeous 140-unit, apartment style community providing Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services. Join our team today!
Position: Cook/Chef

Hourly: $21-$24/hourly, depending on experience

Schedule: Every Sun. 9:30am-6pm and Monday 12pm-6:30pm

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
  Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
