Job summary

Boulder Ponds Senior Living, part of Lifespark Senior Living Community, in Lake Elmo, MN, seeks a Chef/Cook to join our growing team. The role supports senior residents with age-friendly meals in a 95-unit community offering assisted living, independent living and memory care.

Shifts include Full Time AM or PM with every other weekend rotation. Wage range is $17.50–$22.50 per hour. Applicants should be compassionate and able to comply with dietary and sanitary standards.

Qualifications

• Prepare and serve food according to planned menus and diet plans.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Check trays for menu and diet accuracy and requirements.

Shifts

Full Time AM (6:00am-2:30pm), Full Time PM (11:00am-6:30pm) every other weekend rotation only.

Wage

$17.50-$22.50

In this position,you will beresponsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
