Job summary

Sartori Cheese is seeking a Material Handler to manage inbound and outbound cheese deliveries and warehouse supplies. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7am to 3pm at our Sartori Whey location and involves data collection, FIFO staging, and material provisioning for production lines.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams. Prior food-manufacturing experience and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience or converting facility experience desirable.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and carry out tasks accurately.
• Detail-oriented with rigorous attention to accuracy.
• Adaptable, collaborative, and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Receives raw material, unloads trailers, and records transactions with a data collection device.
• Stages customer orders using FIFO principles.
• Inspects inbound and outbound loads for quality and HACCP/GMP compliance.
• Operates forklifts and pallet stackers; maintains and charges pallet trucks.
• Supports sanitation and safety practices; reports issues to management.
• Communicates with warehouse and production teams to ensure on-time delivery.
