Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Cheese Specialist to support a dynamic epicurean department. You will combine product knowledge with expert cheese cutting and presentation, helping customers choose items and pair them for tastier experiences.

You will keep displays fresh, rotate stock, and assist with inventory and merchandising to maintain a high‑quality, inviting counter in a fast‑paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Clear communication when presenting product information and assisting with selection
• Familiarity with cheese varieties, characteristics, and pairings, with interest in expanding knowledge
• Experience handling, cutting, and preparing food products according to established standards
• Consistent execution of cutting, labeling, rotation, and presentation requirements
• Effective handling of daily tasks, inventory tracking, and merchandising upkeep
• Maintaining displays that are clean, organized, and visually consistent
• Monitoring product levels, managing dates, and placing accurate orders
• Participation in sampling efforts, featured items, and seasonal merchandising activities
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, temperature control, and handling standards
• Comfort with standing for extended periods, lifting and moving products up to 55lbs, and working in cooler environments

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing cheeses to spec while maintaining portions and weights
• Refresh and rotate displays to keep cheese selections appealing and fresh
• Assist customers with product information and pairing suggestions
• Support inventory management and timely restocking to meet demand
