Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. is seeking a Cheese Manager for our St. Louis area store to lead the cheese department with a passion for exceptional customer service and deep product knowledge.

You will develop merchandising strategies, train associates, oversee inventory and food safety, and collaborate with the Deli/Seafood team to deliver high-quality cheese experiences for shoppers. Qualifications

• 1+ years in retail or customer service, preferably in a managerial role
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Possess knowledge of cheese products and ability to represent them confidently
• Proven ability to drive sales via suggestive selling, sampling, cross-merchandising, and displays
• Demonstrate creativity and attention to detail in merchandising
• Basic computer skills and ability to use iPad for orders and training

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies for cheese offerings.
• Lead, train, and motivate Associates on cheese products, sales techniques, and food safety.
• Oversee all departmental operations including production, sales, inventory, and food safety.
• Ensure smooth cheese shop operations and support other Deli/Seafood areas.
• Collaborate with Deli/Seafood Management Team to maintain quality and profitability.
• Oversee training and development of Associates to foster a high-performing environment.
• Prepare and sell signature foods, rotisserie and smoked meats, cheeses, seafood, and more.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food-handling procedures; emphasize food safety.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers.
• Flex schedule includes evenings and weekends.
