Job summary

Murray’s Cheese Shop at Kroger in Kansas seeks an experienced supervisor to lead a dynamic cheese counter. You will drive sales through expert product knowledge, interactive customer service, and in-store events while coaching staff and maintaining inventory.

You will ensure food safety compliance, execute merchandising directives, manage schedules, and partner with deli and district teams to grow the Murray’s Cheese experience across the store.

Qualifications

• Minimum: management or food retail experience or two-year culinary degree.
• Willing to taste cheese daily.
• Able to inspire, motivate and train staff.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Strong learning attitude and willingness to try new approaches.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the Murray’s Cheese experience with interactive service and merchandising.
• Maintain knowledgeable, efficient staff trained in Murray’s operations.
• Communicate and enforce Kroger and Murray’s policies and safety procedures.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance.
• Place orders and manage inventory.
• Set up weekly in-store selling events.
• Contribute to store sales and profit goals.
• Control labor costs through scheduling and staffing.
• Meet or exceed budgetary goals for Murray’s Cheese Shop.
• Coach direct reports and complete performance reviews.
• Perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
