Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Plant Production Operator to run and maintain Cheese towers, Pepper Feeders and related equipment. You will complete documentation and assist with specialty products per production schedule.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation policies. SAP experience is a plus, with prior dairy manufacturing exposure beneficial.

Qualifications

• English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to work 12-hour variable shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Cheese towers, Pepper Feeders and related equipment.
• Complete and maintain all Documentation and Inspections as assigned.
• Assist specialty products (parmesan, Romano, and peppers) per production schedule.
• Identify flows from raw materials to packaging and complete Product Transitions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and communicate issues to maintenance or process teams.
• Maintain sanitation and CIP/COP procedures and perform pre/post CIP inspections.
• Participate in training and development activities and coach teammates.
