Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is hiring a production worker for our cheese facility. Starting wage is $21.41 per hour with an additional $2.00 second shift differential; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K and PTO.

You will operate stacker jack to load lift tables with cheese and inspect products before loading on the conveyor. Responsibilities include processing up to 70,000 pounds per shift, following production lists, maintaining a clean, safe work area, and assisting with changeovers

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Knowledge of cheese varieties handled on site.

Responsibilities

• Load cheese using stacker jack and feed conveyors.
• Open and inspect cheese, remove wrappers and minimize downtime.
• Process up to 70,000 pounds per shift.
• Notify Lead/Supervisor when ingredients are in question.
• Follow production lists to ensure correct cheese blends.
• Keep area neat and clean for a safe working environment.
• Assist with changeovers and machine adjustments.
• Perform machine washes and related maintenance.
• Follow GMPs, safety rules, and QA communication.
• Adhere to LO/TO procedures during changeovers.
• Operate de-boxing/conveyor systems for 40# processing.
