Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Cheese Processing Supervisor to oversee the Cheese Room operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality production.

The role provides leadership across Production, Maintenance coordination, and Quality Control while adhering to PMO, GMPs, and sanitation standards. The position begins on day shift but requires flexibility for second shift, weekends, and special cheese projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in dairy manufacturing (cultured dairy experience preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience motivating and developing employees.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills across multiple process areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in the Cheese Room to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Lead and coordinate with Maintenance and Quality Control to uphold standards.
• Maintain current SOPs and ensure adherence to formulations and processing standards.
• Support safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance (PMO, GMPs).
• Schedule and assign duties; provide coaching and development for staff.
• Lead optimization projects and drive continuous improvement.
