Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe's in New York is seeking a Cheese Clerk to join our gourmet store. You will work hands-on with artisan cheeses—slicing, serving, and sharing your knowledge with customers who appreciate great food.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working in a retail food environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for cheese.
• Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
• An interest in cheese to help facilitate learning and growing within the department.

Responsibilities

• Provides guests with a positive, enthusiastic and informational experience.
• Observes and supports store rules and company policies.
• Packs, labels and merchandises cheese and related items according to Uncle Giuseppe’s policies.
• Maintains the work area in a clean and sanitary condition and follows safety procedures.
• Performs all other duties and functions as assigned.

5. Performs all other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements

2. A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a retail food environment
3. Excellent customer service skills and a passion for cheese
4. Highly organized and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
