Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe's in New York is seeking a Cheese Clerk to join our gourmet store. You will work hands-on with artisan cheeses—slicing, serving, and sharing your knowledge with customers who appreciate great food.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent.
1 year of experience working in a retail food environment.
Excellent customer service skills and a passion for cheese.
Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
An interest in cheese to help facilitate learning and growing within the department.

Responsibilities

Provides guests with a positive, enthusiastic and informational experience.
Observes and supports store rules and company policies.
Packs, labels and merchandises cheese and related items according to Uncle Giuseppe’s policies.
Maintains the work area in a clean and sanitary condition and follows safety procedures.
Performs all other duties and functions as assigned.
