Job summary

South Orange - Maplewood Public Schools is seeking a Cheerleading Coach for the Columbia High School winter season. Candidates must hold NJ instructional or substitute certification with athletic endorsement and ACCA certification, plus cheerleading coaching experience.

You will supervise squad members and lead practices and games, reporting to the Director of Athletics. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a background check, and proof of residency or citizenship.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Instructional Certificate or Substitute Certification with Athletic Endorsement
• ACCA Certification
• Previous cheerleading coaching experience.
• Direct supervision by the Director of Athletics and administration for satisfactory performance.
• Full coaching responsibilities at all scheduled games.

• Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

THE POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• 1. New Jersey Instructional Certificate or Substitute Certification with Athletic Endorsement, and ACCA Certification.
• 2. Previous cheerleading coaching experience.
• 3. Will be directly responsible to the Director of Athletics and school administration for the satisfactory.
• 4. performance of all coaching responsibilities.
• 5. Will assume full responsibility for supervision and conduct of squad members and for conducting necessary practice sessions.
• 6. Is expected to assume full-coaching responsibilities at all scheduled games.
• 7. Will assume the responsibility of supervising and administering the program during practice sessions.
• 8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• 9. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status
