Brains And Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking a Cheer Instructor for after-school enrichment in Fontana, CA. The role focuses on leading high-energy cheer programs that build confidence, coordination, and teamwork in students from grades K-8.

You will teach routines, safety, and sportsmanship while engaging with school communities. The position is part-time with afternoon hours, requiring cheerleading experience and the ability to mentor youth in a dynamic, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cheerleading experience as an instructor, coach, or team member (high school, college, or competitive-level experience preferred).
• At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment.

Job Description:

Do you love the energy and teamwork of cheerleading? Are you passionate about sharing your enthusiasm for choreography, tumbling, and cheer spirit with young students? BAM! is looking for a Cheer Instructor to lead engaging, high-energy after-school cheer programs where students can build their confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring youth, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to share the joy of cheerleading in a fun and supportive setting.

In this role, you will:

• Lead Cheer Classes: Teach cheerleading fundamentals, including basic stunts, tumbling, jumps, chants, and dance routines, tailored to the age and skill level of your students (grades K-8).
• Foster Teamwork: Encourage collaboration, sportsmanship, and confidence through positive reinforcement and team-building activities.
• Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every student feels supported and valued.
• Represent BAM!: Deliver a fun and professional experience by implementing BAM!'s cheer program curriculum and maintaining our high standards for instruction and care.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of cheer leading experience as an instructor, coach, or team member (high school, college, or competitive-level experience preferred).
• At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the requirements of the "Every Student Succeed Act.
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring (coaching/teaching experience is preferred).
• Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
• Availability: Monday from 3:00 to 5:30 PM and Wednesday between 12:00 to 6:00 PM
