Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking a Part-time after‑school instructor to teach Cheer/Dance to elementary students in the Alexandria area. Sessions run 1.5 hours, with a 30-minute buffer between blocks, Monday through Friday.

You’ll follow a structured curriculum, supervise 15–25 kids, and foster a safe, inclusive environment while building students’ confidence and teamwork. Training and materials are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Cheer/Dance or gymnastics is preferred.
• Comfortable working with children in grades K‑5; reliable transportation to schools.
• Must complete school district background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for groups of 15–25 students.
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity and participation.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
