Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Anchorage, AK is hiring a Front-End Team Member to support a smooth checkout experience. You will scan items, bag groceries, answer questions, and help ensure each visit ends on a friendly and efficient note.

The role involves rotating between tasks, keeping the front end organized, restocking supplies, and assisting with cart retrieval and other store duties. No prior experience required, but good math and communication help; ability to stand for long periods and lift up

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ or 18+ depending on local/state rules
• Completion of cashier/front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Create smooth checkout experiences by scanning items, bagging groceries, and answering questions
• Keep the front end organized, clean, and running smoothly throughout the shift
• Rotate between tasks: handling transactions, collecting carts, restocking, and maintaining checkout area
• Support customers with friendliness and accuracy to end each visit on a positive note
