Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout and help customers leave the store with the best value. You’ll scan, bag, and process payments while delivering courteous service in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, inputting, accessing, modifying or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10 lbs unassisted or over 15 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
