Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a cashier to ensure every customer leaves our stores satisfied with a quick, friendly checkout experience. You may assist with payments, exchanges, and helping in other departments as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 75 pounds (team lifts start at 75 pounds) if needed.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
