Job summary

The Honickman Companies in Salisbury, MD is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to manage loading operations and supervise 15–20 hourly staff. You will oversee order filling, loading of delivery vehicles, inventory counts, and route reconciliations, while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires strong communication and the ability to train teammates, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and 2 years warehouse supervisory experience.
• Or 5 years warehouse supervisory experience.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading operations and routing for delivery vehicles.
• Direct 15-20 hourly employees.
• Oversee product breakage management.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Expense control and implementing safety initiatives.
• Train others to assist in warehouse functions.
• Manage product loading and housekeeping standards.
• Recommend discipline as needed to Warehouse Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Track daily picking standards for warehouse productivity.
• Check in drivers' inventory via handheld devices.
• Check bulk & conventional picking orders for accuracy.
• Pull bulk orders for warehouse pickers.
• Cover delivery supervisor responsibilities as needed.
• Perform physical inventory counts daily/weekly.
• Perform route reconciliations daily.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Effective management of loading operations to include orders filling/loading of applicable delivery vehicles. Provide direction of 15-20 hourly employees. Oversees product breakage management.

Representative Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Expense control and implementing safety initiatives.
• Train others to assist in warehouse functions.
• Manage product loading and housekeeping standards.
• Recommend discipline to Warehouse Supervisor/Manager/Director regarding employee work rule violations.
• Tracks daily picking standards for warehouse associate productivity.
• Checks in drivers ending inventory through driver's hand held.
• Checks bulk & conventional picking orders for accuracy.
• Pulls bulk orders for warehouse pickers as needed.
• Covers delivery supervisors' responsibilities as needed.
• Performs Physical Inventory counts daily/weekly.
• Must be proficient on computers.
• Performs Route Reconciliation daily.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Certification

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and 2 years Warehouse Supervisory experience; OR 5 years Warehouse Supervisory experience.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Related training or certification.
• Experience working in a team environment.
