Job summary

SWBC is seeking an onsite Check Processing Representative in San Antonio, TX, to prepare, correct, and finalize insurance payment checks. You will balance remittance totals, verify data, and maintain documentation across AS400, LPS, Citrix, and FIServ systems while coordinating with carriers and clients.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in accounts payable or check processing, solid data entry skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years in accounts payable or check processing.
• Experience in insurance, mortgage, or banking industries preferred.
• Strong research and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to type accurately and use Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and print register and voucher disbursements reports.
• Make necessary corrections to checks per pre-edit reports.
• Research reasons for returned checks and issue voids/reissues as needed.
• Conduct outbound research calls and document actions in AS400.
• Balance remittance amounts and ensure correct payee data on checks.
• Coordinate with carriers/agents for timely check release and mailing.
