The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is seeking a part-time Check-In Monitor to welcome members, record attendance, and maintain a safe, organized club environment. You will manage check-in items, assist with forms, and answer inquiries with a friendly, professional approach.

Responsibilities include accurate database entries, phone support, and contributing to a positive club experience for youth and families while adhering to policies and privacy guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to engage and connect with youth.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols including emergency procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Check in members and record attendance in the database.
  • Ensure items are checked in and not brought into the Club.
  • Greet members and visitors, answer phones and direct inquiries.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems for easy retrieval.
  • Assist with member forms and safety monitoring.

Check-In Monitor (Club)Department: ProgramReports To: Senior Site Manager and/or Site ManagerFLSA Status: Non-Exempt/HourlyMission StatementThe mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is to do whatever it takes to empower all youth to reach their full potential. Ensure that bags, coats and hats are left at the check-in desk before entering the Club. Prepare reports from member database as scheduled. Answers telephone, questions and maintains electronic and hard copy files.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for checking all members into the Club and entering member attendance into database.Ensure that all necessary member items are checked in to desk area and not brought into Club.Retrieves personal items when needed.Creates a safe Club environment.Answers telephones, providing general information, referring callers to other staff or taking messages as necessary.Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems, making sure they are accurate and timely and facilitate easy retrieval of information.Assists members and families in filling out membership forms.Assists with monitoring nearby areas to ensure member safety.Serve as Club receptionist, greeting all members and visitors and maintaining attendance and visitor logs.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong ability to engage and connect with youth in a group setting.Knowledge of safety protocols including fire, severe weather, and lockdown procedures.Familiarity with and adherence to all Boys & Girls Club/KIDSTOP policies and procedures.Computer and data entry skills.Organization and attention to detail.Strong customer relations skills.Able to maintain confidentiality.Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.Education & Work ExperienceEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.Fundamental RelationshipsMaintains close daily contact with Club staff, Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information.
