Job summary

General Motors Corporation is seeking a Diagnostics Technical Specialist to support development, integration, calibration, and validation of vehicle chassis control systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, diagnostic trouble codes, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with CAN-based communication, signal interpretation, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Ability to work hands-on in a vehicle development/testing environment, including travel and flexible hours during test events.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain issues to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on diagnostics support for chassis control systems.
• Plan and execute diagnostic troubleshooting on development vehicles and test benches.
• Collaborate with controls/software engineers to reproduce issues and drive corrective actions.
• Create repeatable test procedures and diagnostic methods for investigations.
• Review test results and communicate technical summaries and cross-functional reviews.
• Own diagnostic processes and validation with Standard Work documentation.
• Mentor new calibration engineers on diagnostics strategies.
