Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver Sonesta Service according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest requests and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
3. Clean and service assigned rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
4. Notify supervisor when rooms are ready or if issues arise.
5. Assist with laundry tasks, monitor supplies, operate laundry equipment, and report damages.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects.
7. Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
8. Handle lost and found items appropriately.
9. Promote teamwork and communication with other staff shifts.
10. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
2. Experience in extended stay industry is a plus.
3. Fluent English skills preferred; other languages beneficial.
4. Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
5. Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
6. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
