Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Chart Auditor for Baptist Medical Center South to join our centralized team in central Alabama.

You will enter and audit daily charges, analyze records for medical necessity, and ensure accuracy. You will review findings to identify trends and risk areas, with additional duties as required. Strong MS Office skills and hospital experience are preferred, with a high school diploma required.

Summary

The Chart Auditor shall be responsible to enter and audit daily charges for all patients in the assigned area. This individual will analyze records and run through rigorous checks to ensure medical necessity and accuracy of the record. The Chart Auditor will review analytical data and audit findings to identify trends and other risk areas. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required. At least 1-year clerical experience required. At least 1-year hospital experience required.
