Job summary

SCP Health in Lafayette, LA is seeking a detail‑oriented Chart Resources specialist to accurately acquire hospital medicine charts for registration, coding and billing. You will maintain EMR access, ensure privacy and data security, and resolve data queries while supporting audit metrics and daily production goals.

You will collaborate with HM Operations, RCS PreBilling and IT teams to ensure data integrity and timely issue resolution, contributing to high-quality clinical practice management.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in customer service, auditing, or healthcare administration.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine/inpatient chart components helpful.
• Experience with EMR systems and data accuracy requirements.
• Proficient in Excel and data reporting basics.
• Knowledge of privacy guidelines and security for patient data.

Responsibilities

• Accurately acquire hospital medicine charts for registration, coding and billing.
• Maintain facility EMR access and ensure privacy and security compliance.
• Resolve outstanding Chart Resources queries for hospital medicine charts.
• Maintain metrics and audits with high accuracy and timely completion.
• Publish audit findings and collaborate with leadership and HM operations.
• Review patient data for accuracy of account numbers, names and dates.
• Communicate data issues to support groups for prompt resolution.
• Back-up chart validation and other Chart Resources tasks as needed.
