Passero Associates in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role supports general ledger accounting, monthly and annual close, reconciliations, and financial analyses in a multi-entity environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting with at least three years in public or corporate accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years in public or corporate accounting, preferably audits.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement prep.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis.
• Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support monthly and annual close and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Prepare analyses and schedules for management, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Maintain internal controls and improve reporting processes.
• Assist with management reporting and special projects.
• Prepare monthly client invoices and coordinate with project managers.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency.
