Job summary

Improveit Home Remodeling is expanding to Charlotte and seeks an experienced Outside Sales Trainer to build and own the three-week initial training program for new hires. You will manage onboarding end-to-end, coordinating with HR and IT to ensure every rep starts with paperwork complete, an iPad, and a sales kit.

Your performance-based coaching shapes graduates into lead-ready professionals. You’ll also drive ongoing training, including ride-alongs and cross-training, and supervise development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Sales Management, Sales Training, Learning & Development, or Adult Education.
• 5+ years of experience in the home remodeling industry, preferred
• Demonstrated success selling home improvement products
• Knowledge of residential construction, preferably windows, kitchens, or bathrooms
• Proficiency in modern sales techniques and strategies
• High proficiency in training, specifically adult education and sales concepts
• High proficiency in coaching, providing both high support and high challenge in a learning environment
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to assess and educate people from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels
• Strong technical acumen with software and apps, specifically the Microsoft 365 Suite and Canva
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding for every new Outside Sales rep: onboarding paperwork, class scheduling, sales kits, hotel arrangements, and logins across our sales tech stack
• Communicate class time, date, and location to new hires, and answer their questions before they ever walk in
• Partner with IT so every iPad and training technology is ready and working at the start of class
• Partner with HR so onboarding paperwork and new hire information is completed promptly
• Facilitate the three-week Outside Sales initial training using Improveit’s Pillars of Training
• Print and prepare Learner’s Guides for each class
• Assess each trainee and make the judgment call on who passes, collaborating with Sales team
• Build Initial Training Reports that go to Sales Leadership for each graduating rep
• Keep Outside Sales leadership team current on class progress
