Job summary

KDG ARCHITECTURE + INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE in Charlotte, NC seeks a full-time Commercial Interior Designer to develop interior concepts, create space plans, and coordinate with architects and project teams to deliver cohesive commercial environments.

You will produce construction drawings, select FF&E, ensure design intent across documentation, participate in client meetings, and support project schedules and quality control within a collaborative studio culture.

Qualifications

• Space Planning and Interior Design for commercial projects.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles and coordinating with architectural teams.
• Proficiency in detailed Construction Drawings and documentation.
• Experience with FF&E selection, specifications, and coordination.
• Strong proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and commercial interiors standards.
• Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Prior experience in commercial interior design environments; licensure or NCIDQ certification is a plus.
