Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Director of Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting, audits, tax compliance, and payroll for our hotel. As a key Executive Committee member, you’ll guide finance strategy with honesty, integrity, and clear communication to drive growth and positive impact.

You’ll mentor the finance team, deliver accurate numbers on a timely basis, and partner with department heads to optimize profits while maintaining controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years in financial leadership, preferably in hotel finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting, account reconciliation, and data-driven problem solving.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and POS/PMS systems and effective leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial reporting, P&L analysis, and ensure timely updates.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting, equipping department heads with tools to meet targets.
• Manage payroll, audits, cash control, and tax compliance.
• Mentor the finance team and foster collaboration across the hotel.
• Protect assets and ensure strong accounting controls.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 5 years in financial leadership, or comparable progressive hotel finance experience.
• Extensive background in budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting, account reconciliation, and strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem‑solving.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, POS/PMS systems, and proven leadership and communication abilities for team development and presentations.
