Job summary

Providence is seeking a Charge Description Master Specialist to join the Revenue Cycle team on a full-time, day schedule with remote work options in Oregon. The role focuses on ensuring the chargemaster reflects current coding and billing rules and supports accurate charge capture across hospital services.

The CDM Specialist will interface with hospital ministries, IS, and clinical informatics, train staff, and maintain documentation of CDM policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in healthcare, sciences, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years hospital chargemaster experience with CDM software.
• Experience with inpatient/outpatient billing (UB-04) and CMS reimbursement.
• 3 years hospital charging practices experience.
• 2 years EMR experience related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Chargemaster aligns with coding and billing regulations.
• Coordinate daily CDM maintenance between PSJH System and ministries.
• Train hospital staff on CDM maintenance and charge capture.
• Review charges for CDM compliance and documentation of policies.
