Job summary

Providence is seeking a Charge Description Master Specialist to join the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team. The CDM Specialist ensures the Chargemaster aligns with coding and billing regulations and accurately reflects services provided.

The role trains hospital staff, researches maintenance requests, and coordinates CDM workflows across ministries and IT teams. The position is full-time, day shift, remote, and collaborates closely with CDM Leads and specialists to maintain policy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare/finance.
3 years hospital chargemaster experience and related coding knowledge.
Experience with inpatient/outpatient billing (UB-04) and CMS reimbursement rules.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain chargemaster to ensure coding/billing compliance.
Collaborate with RI/Chargemaster team and hospital ministries while researching maintenance requests.
Train hospital staff on CDM maintenance, coding updates and charge capture improvements.
Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflow between PSJH System and Ministries and document procedures.
