Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Charge Description Master Specialist in Houston, Texas. This full-time role requires overseeing the Chargemaster's accuracy and training hospital staff on related processes. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of hospital chargemaster experience, as well as knowledge of coding principles. Additional experience with EPIC EMR is preferred. Qualifications

• 3 years hospital chargemaster experience.
• 3 years experience with Hospital charging practices.
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Chargemaster consistency with coding and billing regulations.
• Act as a liaison between the Hospital ministry and the Chargemaster Department.
• Train Hospital ministry staff regarding the CDM Maintenance process.

Skills

Hospital chargemaster experience

Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD10 coding principles

Experience with EMR (preferably EPIC)

Project management experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting or related field

Tools

CDM Maintenance software
