Job summary

Mental Health Resource Center, Inc. is seeking Registered Nurses to oversee inpatient psychiatric care at our Northside and Southside facilities. The units care for adults and children, with most admissions via the Florida Baker Act.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license is required.
• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Experience in medical-surgical and/or psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and judgment under pressure.
• Documenting accurately per guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle admissions and discharges.
• Take doctor’s orders and administer medications.
• Provide routine and emergency medical care as needed.
• Assess patient needs and plan care with the treatment team.
• Supervise and coordinate care by Behavioral Healthcare Assistants.
• Ensure documentation meets Quality Assurance and Joint Commission standards.
