Job summary

Mercy seeks a Charge Nurse RN to lead and deliver high‑quality care. You will assess patients, coordinate a multidisciplinary team, and ensure safe, effective nursing interventions on a full‑time basis.

Join Mercy and mentor staff while upholding standards of care. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available and NO CONTRACT is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Administer treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.

• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.

Position Details:

Charge Nurse RN

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!

Full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience eligible

What You'll Do

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

Preferred:

• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and twist as needed for patient care.
