Job summary

Howard Head Sports Medicine in Vail, CO seeks a Charge RN for Preop/PACU to provide leadership and clinical coordination in a busy surgical unit.

The role requires three years of PreOp/PACU nursing experience, Colorado RN licensure (or compact state), and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Responsibilities include staffing, patient care coordination, and collaboration with clinicians to ensure safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Three years of PreOp/PACU nursing experience required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or a valid compact state.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required; moderate sedation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision to staff caring for patients in the unit.
• Organize, coordinate, and facilitate patient care with clinical teams.
• Maintain daily unit operations including staffing, scheduling and environment of care.
• Act as unit liaison and primary point of contact for department staffing and communications.
• Deliver nursing care and assessments, ensuring high-quality outcomes within Just Culture.
